Frequently Asked Questions – Glass Blowing Classes

Age 10 seems to be a good age to start, 13 is the average age. A parent or guardian needs to be present for anyone under the age of 18.

All of Peluso Glass classes are designed for a student who is completely new to glass. All safety and basic glass guidelines will be explained in every class taught.

Classes all have a general theme, the core basics are taught in every class. Typically we make Vases, Shot Glasses or Christmas Ornaments.

Due to the high quality of glass used in our classes combined with our teaching techniques we enable you to take home your glass piece that day, No need to ship or wait around for hours for it to cool down.

Classes generally get booked out a week or two in advance. If you know of a special occasion that you like to book, Please register as soon as possible. For example, Christmas Ball mania classes generally are filled in November for all December classes.

Class sizes range from 2 to 8 people, Larger groups can be accommodated. Class size is generally kept between 4 to 6 students.

Glass blowing does involve fire and glass temperatures reaching into the thousands of degrees, we take every safety precaution, it is safe if you follow our rules and guidelines.

Yes, we teach all levels of glass blowing from the person who wants to say they did it once to the person looking to make this a professional career in glass blowing.

Cotton based clothes are best, Avoid any material made of synthetic fibers. For your safety, long hair must be pulled back and no opened toed shoes.

Glass blowing is more of a science based art.
